Just curious really

After my first initial boot into a fresh Yosemite install, the ethernet works.

After running a UserDSDT Multibeast (no drivers selected), my ehternet does not work at next boot

How does this happen? I would have guessed that multibeast doesnt actually remove any drivers?

The board is rev 1.0, the legacy board. Its an Athereos GbE

Cheers

Have a similar problem. In fact in my case no matter what driver I chose (in MultiBeast) network stops working. But fresh install definitely worked!

I wonder (hope!) if anyone can post an answer to the problem please.

Gigabyte Z97P-D3, i5, R9 graphic (working fine).
MacOSX Sierra.

MultiBeast is just a tool, it does not do anything that you cannot do for yourself.

Download the RealtekRTL8111 kext and place it on your desktop.
Then download and run KextBeast to install it to /Library/Extensions/

Just in case it'd be useful for someone else - the networking problem is solved by:
1) deleting /Library/Extensions directory and all of its content
2) re-running MultiBeast and selecting RTL8111 driver

It seems like MultiBeast compiles and placed things into this directory, but on subsequent re-runs does not clean it. So I guess my system was picking up some other (incorrect) driver package first

Thanks so much for this! I chose the lowest version of RTL this time (after deleting the ktexts) and it worked for me. Had to restart too
