I followed the steps carefully in the post #1, but I still don't have my USB3 port recognised by El Capitan.
I have a Gigabyte H81M-HD3 board, the back USB2 ports and the pin USB2 headers are working, but my USB3 ports aren't. Also, if I set XHCI -> Smart Auto, my USB DAC stops working in the back USB2 port. Only working if I set XHCI -> Auto.
Using iMac 14,1 sys. definition, already tried removing port restrictions under:
System/Library/Extensions/IOUSBHostFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleUSBXHCIPCI.kext/Contents/Info.plist
And tied with/without EHC1, EHC2 patch:

Seems like the fix is not working for VIA USB3...
Can someone help me? What extra info do I need to attach?
Thanks in advance!
