Hi,

I am planning on dual booting Ubuntu14.04 along side Windows 8.
I have created a Bootable USB , disabled secure boot and fast boot. But when I go to Advanced startup and select Load a USB device it shows the above error.
I tried using another USB but in vain.
I never got that error before as I had booted my Laptop dually before.
Please help.
I used Universal USB installer.
and my laptop is HP 14-b157tu.

Thanks in Advance.

Is the USB UEFI or legacy? Did you enable the appropriate option in BIOS (UEFI/legacy) so you can boot it?

As long as you have UEFI enabled (also secure boot disabled) in BIOS, and the USB was created correctly, you should be able to boot it by using your BIOS hotkey for selecting a specific boot device. Boot order doesn't matter since you're selecting using the boot selection menu.

Hi ,
Sorry fr the lte reply.
The iso file was not the right one. The MD5sums did not match. So I downloaded the correct one and was succesfully able to install it. :)
