I've done my research but am still a bit confused about DSDT's.

I've flashed a patched BIOS to my Asus P8Z77V-LE.

I extracted and complied my DSDT, and copied it to the /Extra folder. But it seemed to do nothing?

I used samisnakes guide, but there was no patches available on the website provided.

I currently have my machine working pretty much perfectly without DSDT.

I would like to use a DSDT to get the most out of my system, in geekbench i'm getting 11.5k, when systems similar to mine are getting 15k-17k.

1. Can I just extract my DSDT and use it that way, or do I need patches?
2. How can I tell i'm using a DSDT, with -v it flashes up too quickly?
3. Is it possible to fix my sleep and graphics card problems with a DSDT? (As these are the two issues i'm having)
4. Would i have to do a kext cleanup before installing a DSDT?
5. What is a SSDT?

Thanks,
MT

MT, that motherboard can work just fine without a DSDT file. Only consider having a DSDT if you want HDMI Audio.

SSDT is not required for 3rd gen CPU's if you have no plans of overclocking the system.

Make sure the BIOS settings are correct to get the sleep working use forum search.

Graphics card > use forum search

Thanks for the advice. I looked a bit deeper into geekbench scores, on there website it shows averages. and I'm within 1000 of them. So I guess the people I saw with higher scores were using the 64-Bit version.
