Hi everyone

I just installed my Zotac GTX 650 TI 2GB in my Hackintosh, everything works fine besides HDMI Audio. Does someone have it work? I think I need DSDT edit but I don't have a clue about that :cry:

Can someone help?

This are my Output devices at the moment:

Thanks very much :)

Thanks toleda

I'll check that :thumbup:

Hi toleda

I Just tried to create my own DSDT but ended with a not working 650 TI :confused: Had to go back to HD4000 to boot into ML.

There are the steps I made:

1. Download the DSDT Editor -> opened File -> Extract DSDT
2. Downloaded the HD4000_AMI_EFI_hdmi_audio_dsdt_editing_kit
3. DSDT Editor: Patch -> open... -> selected the hdmi_audio_ami_efi_hd4000.txt
4. Run Compile and saved the AML File on the Desktop
5. Runed Multibeast with Audio drives for my 887 of course "with DSDT"
6. Fixed permissions trough DiskUtility
7. Reboot and stuck with a grey screen after the Apple Logo appears.

Did I something wrong??

Thanks you very much :)

Regards
Patrick

Did I something wrong??
Yes. Do I know what is wrong? No. Why? No info.
Attach everything you changed; native dsdt, edited dsdt, copy of IOReg before and after, motherboard, processor, etc.

It finally works like it should. thanks mate.

I think my DSDT was wrong patched, so I installed Audio new with Multibeast (without DSDT) and after that patched it again with you linked patch.

After reboot everything works fine :D

Got Gigabyte EP35-DS3R with Gf 650 Ti
M/B got ALC889a which works fine for Speaker Out and SPDIF (dsdt and ioreg attached)

DSDT edits that I have done via patchers providing no option for HDMI audio:

Device (GFX0)
{
Name (_ADR, Zero)
Name (_SUN, One)
Method (_DSM, 4, NotSerialized)
{
Store (Package (0x02)
{
"hda-gfx",
Buffer (0x0A)
{
"onboard-1"
}
}, Local0)
DTGP (Arg0, Arg1, Arg2, Arg3, RefOf (Local0))
Return (Local0)
}
}

Device (HDAU)
{
Name (_ADR, One)
Method (_DSM, 4, NotSerialized)
{
Store (Package (0x06)
{
"hda-gfx",
Buffer (0x0A)
{
"onboard-1"
},

"layout-id",
Buffer (0x04)
{
0x01, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00
},

"PinConfigurations",
Buffer (Zero) {}
}, Local0)
DTGP (Arg0, Arg1, Arg2, Arg3, RefOf (Local0))
Return (Local0)
}
}
}

Also, have set layout-id to 03,0,0,0 with no luck, IOReg is showing HDAU but that's all.
AppleHDA version 2.3.1f2

Any hints where to dig?

What patcher(s) did you try? Audio ID: 3 (layout-d 3 is for HD3000/HD4000 HDMI audio only, use Audio ID: 1)
Start over, See Mountain Lion HDMI Audio - Award DSDT, use ML_5-Series_Award_hdmi_audio_dsdt_editing_kit

Toleda, thanks for replying

Have used DSDT Editor 0.8 and suggested hdmi_audio_award_5_series_amd-nvidia_discrete_graphics
Same story here...

Patcher set layout to 0x2 and have changed to 0x1 with no luck at all
