Hello everybody
After long successful use of SmallTree drivers for Intel X550-T1 (0x8088/0x15d1) and Intel X550-T2 (0x8086/0x1563) 10GBit PCI Ethernet controllers with changing of subsystem-id to 0x000a by FakePCIID I'd like to switch on Sonnet Presto drivers. The reason is that the SmallTree is not officially supporting this driver since Big Sur, while Sonnet providing their drivers even certified for Ventura (1.8.0).
The question is if someone has the Sonnet Presto 10GbEBase-T Network Adapter (G10E-2X-E3) in his possession and can check the Sub-Vendor ID and Sub-Device ID and let me know to create new FakePCIID kext for this driver? So far I know the Sonnet Windows and Linux drivers are from Intel directly (that mean there are sharing the same Vendor-ID and Device-ID), and the MacOS driver is checking for subsystem-vendor-id/subsystem-id and complaining in log something like "Unsupported Card (0x000a)".
Things I want to know are marked with "?":
Vendor ID: 0x8086
Device ID: 0x1563
Subsystem Vendor ID: ? (highly likely 0x16b8)
Subsystem ID: ?
Revision ID: ?
This information can be extracted with Hackintool (PCI) or even System Information of MacOS (PCI).
Thanks in advance
