Hello Rehabman/Everyone,

I am hoping that you can point me to the right direction. I have a Dell XPS 12 with HD4000 running Yosemite 10.10 . Everything works except the Displayport. Do you have any ideas as to how to get it to display video out?

Thanks so much in advance!

Will your internal display work with 0x01660004? (you're using 0x01660009).

Hi Rehabman,

I tried with 0x01660004 but the system just hangs at the Apple logo. I can boot with 0x01660008 & 0x01660009.

Is there something else I can try?

Does external monitor work with 0x01660003?

This is the error I get with 3 and 4.

I only have booted with 3 & 4 options without the monitor plugged in and that's when I get the error. Can the AppleIntelFramebufferCapri.kext be patched so the computer recognizes the DP? Or maybe a DSDT patch?

The point is to see if the external monitor works. Internal monitor is irrelevant for this experiment.

I tried it with monitor connected/disconnected and get the same results when booting with 0x01660003/4. With 9, I get video out but it is all distorted and I can't even see the monitor in the Preferences Panel.

Any other idea?

Thanks in advance.

I'm surprised you see any signal with 0x01660009. Because the ioreg in post #1 is 0x01660009 and it doesn't show an external monitor connected.
