Dear forum members and moderators,

this is my first time try to install macos not on apple computer,
my computer specification;
System: Dell XPS 12 9250 + Clover UEFI
CPU: Skylake Intel m5-6Y57/Skylake-U
Graphics: Intel HD 515, 3840x2160

I have follow this clover guidance, I use Clover v2.3k r3577 (download from sf.net).
Install latest download 10.11.5 on 8GB usb v2 flask disk, with MBR partition.
my /EFI/CLOVER/drivers64UEFI/ consists of:
DataHubDxe-64.efi
FSInject-64.efi
HFSPlus.efi
OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi
OsxFatBinaryDrv-64.efi
VBoxHfs-64.efi

my /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other/ consists of:
GenericUSBXHCI.kext
SATA-100-series-unsupported.kext

I copied config_HD520_530_540.plist (raw) and rename to config.plist,
replace /EFI/CLOVER/config.plist

BIOS configuration:
secure boot disabled
VT-d disabled

I try to boot with verbose, I attach 2 photos of boot log.
(i'm sorry the text is quite small, because I can't change the resolution too).
I hardly tried to read the log, but I can't find which part is the problem.
Anyone can help to read the log? what's the problem so I can't start the macos installer?

I know from other thread jhax01 already success install mac os on XPS 12 9250.

thank you for your response.

Keep in mind you need to boot with a bogus FakeID 0x12345678 to disable the graphics drivers. After you patch IOKit for UHD, you can then enable graphics without the FakeID. See FAQ for details.

Dear RehabMan,
thank you for the fast response.

it helps.

so I update my config.plist, with bogus ig-platform-id 0x012345678:
<key>Graphics</key>
<dict>
<key>ig-platform-id</key>
<string>0x12345678</string>
<key>Inject</key>
<dict>
<key>ATI</key>
<false/>
<key>Intel</key>
<true/>
<key>NVidia</key>
<false/>
</dict>
<key>InjectEDID</key>
<false/>
</dict>

But even i put bogus id, i still got very small text (i think the resolution still high).

I tried to boot again, then found other boot problem, it was kernel panic, about the kextd with log info about deadbeef.
I read from the forum I have to remove kexts and select one by one.
Then I removed GenericUSBXHCI.kext from kexts/Other/.
(btw, at this point my kexts/Other/ consists of FakeSMC.kext and SATA-100-series-unsupported.kext)

I tried to boot again in verbose mode, at this time, everything running well!
until the UI came up. (Language Chooser?)

Still not finish the installation yet. because my next problem is the keyboard not detected but the mouse is running well. (this computer tablet come up with docking keyboard and mouse). I attach the screenshot, may be anyone know how to fix this or skip this.

As the alternative, will find for bluetooth keyboard in the next few days and update the thread again.

My question, after I got the UI, what's the next step?
Is it same installation like mac os installation on apple hardware?

thank you.

Use config.plist/GUI/ScreenResolution to set to non-native screen resolution (1024x768, or 1920x1080, whatever works).

The question regarding keyboard is in the guide, post #2: http://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/

RehabMan's VoodooPS2 worked fine for the keyboard on the FHD version so you might try that.
