I saw your amazing guide for the dell 7010... just wanted to ask can I install the mac os on raid mode? or do i need to boot normally and use disk utility and make a raid there? also will i need to do any extra steps e.g include kexts etc for raid?

Which RAID mode do you want to use ? Striping - RAID 0 or Mirroring - RAID 1
Why do you want to use it ?

Raid 0... I have a few hdd-s available same kind but it’s 5400rpm which is slow... so hopefully making raid 0 will make the system a bit faster

If you can get a basic 120 GB SSD to install macOS on for your boot drive you'll get the best results. If you do go with RAID 0 then make a clone and regular backups.
