I'm not sure if iboot will boot from usb you can try or check with tonymac moderators... But i would suggest chameleon or clover bootloader so you need only 1 usb for everything... Pretty convenient

But which Partition Scheme should I choose? GUID or MBR?

Ok... I have installed 10.6 and I hate no sound working

Use apple hda + legacy hda
Both guid and mbr are working... Use mbr patch

Sorry... I mean that I hate no sound working in Mac OS X 10.7. In 10.6.8, it works!
