Custom Laptop Hackintosh

The question I have is if it is possible to create a custom laptop that is compatible with mac osx. I currently have a macbook pro but I want a more powerful laptop, so the best would be to build it myself since this would be cheaper, I have searched for barebones laptops and have not yet found one that seems compatible and I do need mac osx. Has someone done a custom laptop capable of running osx and if so what would you recommend?
