I have the following configuration from http://snazzylabs.com/article/skylake-mac-mini-hackintosh, under the parts section.

I am following the installation directions completely from https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-el-capitan-on-the-skylake-h170n-wifi.178197/.

On the Hackintosh, after the Apple logo appears, and the progress bar is moving, about half-way along, a lost connection message appears, then goes away, and the monitor is blank. Nothing continues to happen. I have searched and tried the following with no success:

https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...g-from-usb-in-clover-el-capitan.177786/page-2,
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/black-screen-when-booting-from-usb-in-clover-el-capitan.177786/

I am using:
UniBeast 6.2.0 (for El Capitan)
MultiBeast 8.2.3 (1)
Clover Configurator 4.34.0 Vibrant Edition
KextBeast 2.0.1

Any additional help or direction is much appreciated.

Thank you.

Sounds pretty similar to the problem I've been having for DAYS now with a Z170 board. Instead of a black screen I'm getting the prohibited sign and then no more progress. See my thread started today below yours (3 mobos, 4 thumb drives =). I've been searching for DAYS and read, re-read, re-read again every post, thread, etc I can find without any luck. It seems it's a case of the bootloader losing contact with the Usb thumb drive, but none of the solutions people recommend have any effect on fixing it.
If you find a solution let me know please and I will reciprocate. I'm beginning to think it's possibly a Unibeast bug, but that's just a guess. I've made so many thumb drives with it I can't even count them all.

I've had this problem numerous times, when it get's to detecting the display it fails. You can confirm this if you have an Apple keyboard by pressing the Eject key and if it opens the CD-Rom drive door while you have that black screen then the system is running and booted but lost the display during boot.

Then you are going to have to try various methods with boot flags or injecting video .... all of this found in Clover boot options.
