HI ALL

My computer completely freezes, due to a HD movie that i downloaded on iTunes. Just having it in my library, without trying to play it causes the computer to freeze, and obviously selecting the movie in finder to play in quick time also freezes.

Tried some historic solutions, such as getting iTunes to open in 32 bit mode, but it won't allow that.

i am running a clover boot, motherboard Z87M d3H with 4770k, using onboard graphics. Latest version of Mavericks 10.9.4

I am aware that there are licensing issues with iTunes movies, however this is not that the computer is refusing to play it, but rather it is causing a complete freeze, which suggests a system setup problem. This is my console reading at time of crash:

any suggestions please?

iTunes Movies are not supported on Ivybridge and Haswell Hackintosh machines

i would locate your iTunes Media folder and see where the movie has tried to download to and then i would delete the contents, fix permissions and then reboot..

Well, that's interesting. On my SandyBridge machine I have no issues with this, but on my Haswell, damn thing freezes the moment I hit play. Why is it that this is an issue?
