18 or 16gb ram probably vengance
Radeon HD 6870

That's all great except that you'll want a 6870 with the 5 port reference design (2 DVI, 1 HDMI, 2 mini DP) to ensure compatibility.

Oh well. I guess i'll go with the UP5H. Do you know of any good OSX compatible sound cards?

If you actually meant the UD5H (or the UP5 TH, for that matter), then you don't need a sound card - it has multi-channel audio out + SPDIF.

Because only those work with 4 four monitors. Other layouts don't.

Also, it is the original ATI design, so it is more likely to work with OS X.

The original ATI design had miniDP?! Why would they do that? Makes no sense to me...
