To update the uuid:

1. Open Disk Utility
2. Click on the disk where your system is installed.
3. Get Info ( I) and copy the uuid.
4. Don't forget to update your three Extra folders.

Three Extra folders? I only have one that I can find. Have tried the other tricks in the new "official" how-to-fix thread, but still no luck.

Do you have a Fusion Drive?
If yes, you must have three Extra folders, one on your root partition which is visible and two others who are on the the two hidden Boot OS X partitions.
Use Disk Utility to mount them and update the Extra folders.
