Hi, I hope you can help me with this one! Everything is alright and working well, except...

...the really slow and laggy boot process, which takes 8-10 seconds to finish the timeout bar (even though it's set in 2 seconds in the boot.plist). and also a lot of time to read the first lines in verbose (kernel, graphics, audio, etc).

If I type any boot flags it takes some time from the moment I type the words until I see them on the screen. At first I thought it was the graphics, but About my Mac shows INTEL HD 4600 Graphics and my boot information shows that the default platform id is being loaded. In fact, Launchpad animation and Chess work well.

I previously had Graphics Mode set to 1920x1080 but that made the boot time even slower and more laggy.
I've only installed DSDT-free, audio and ethernet driver in Multibeast.

This is my build:
i5 4670K
B85M-D3H
HD 4600 graphics
Maxtor 160GB SATA II

And my boot.plist:

<key>EthernetBuiltIn</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>GenerateCStates</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>GeneratePStates</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
<string>No</string>
<key>IGPEnabler</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>Kernel Flags</key>
<string>dart=0</string>
<key>Legacy Logo</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>Timeout</key>
<string>2</string>
<key>UseKernelCache</key>
<string>Yes</string>

Thanks in advance

Yes, it's the last, which is F14. I believe it's something to do with graphics, because when I turn on 1920x1080 start up it goes crazy slow.

Or could it be the drive being SATA II instead of III?

I see dart=0 in your config. Try to load default BIOS settings and then check next:

  1. If your CPU supports VT-d, disable it
  2. If your system has CFG-Lock, disable it
  3. If your system has Secure Boot Mode, disable it
  4. Set OS Type to Other OS
Also you must be in AHCI mode and used HDMI connection monitor to video card.
