I have an Acer XC-605 (Intel i7 4790 Haswell, HD 4600), which has a working OpenCore with SystemProductName set to "iMac 15,1" i.e. "iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Mid 2015)". It runs Big Sur perfectly and I'd like to upgrade to Monterey. To qualify for Monterey upgrade, it appears to require at least "iMac Late 2015".

I tried changing to "iMac 16,1" but at "About This Mac", it still shows up as the previous "(Retina 5K, Mid 2015)". :( How do I change my System Product Name to reflect a supported hardware?

Thank you!

You want iMac17,1 for Monterey on your Haswell build

I would also recommend that you logout of your Apple ID and create a new serial for iMac17,1 and then log back in once the new iMac17,1 SMBIOS is working

Thank you! It shows up as the correct hardware and the upgrade is available!
