I am trying to update to Catalina from a clone of Mojave. I posted a picture from verbose mode of where the process stops. In non-verbose mode the progress bar slowly and completely fills but does not ever reboot; I also do not see any flashing of the disc activity light. I also could not get Catalina to install from a USB drive as the process stops with a prohibited sign, the second verbose screen shot mode. I was able to install the Catalina beta using the same EFI that yields a prohibited sign with the .1 version, that one uses the basic config posted on this website. The Kexts in the “other” folder are the basics and worked with the Catalina beta. What am I missing?

I had that exact same message. I searched in google for that exact message. There was lots of info. I don’t recall the fix, but I did find the answer there.

place this file in your /EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched and you are good to go

Hi, i was stuck in this same problem and use this SSDT and worked! Thanks.
What is this patch for?

sorry, I am not sure, I found it in another thread and it worked. I haven't spent the time to see what fix it applies.

THANK YOU! IT WORKED FOR ME!
