can't write to SD card ?

Ok, yes i guess i missed something because there is no card reader in the system information. But they still appear in the storage section.

The card reader never shows in System Information, but it still works...

I have read the whole guide, i don't see anything regarding the card reader. I'm now on Yosemite btw but i guess it doesnt change anything.

The ProBook Installer installs the kexts necessary for the card reader.
