I had updated my operating system from 10.7.3 to 10.7.4 and I lost my audio Drivers. I then updated to 10.8. I discovered the system prefs problem when my computer refused to let me run KextBEast because it was downloaded from the internet. Everything else in System Preferences is able to load, but when i click on "Security & Privacy" the application says 'loading Security & Privacy'. It never loads the page.
I have a GA-Z68XP-UD3 motherboard if that helps. Everything else in my operating system is working normally.

Delete com.apple.security.plist in /Library/preferences and install this.
You will have to click twice on security prefepane to launch it.

That's the only solution I have found...

I replaced the com.apple.security with the one you posted and I'm still having the same issue.

I'm having the same issue.

I used this command to be able to run downloaded apps:

sudo spctl --master-disable

Thank You. That really helped. I would eventually like to get into that prefpane, but this was a good temporary fix. If someone does find a way, please still post it!

[SOLVED]

I just ran the installer again with my Unibeast flash drive and it solved the problem!!!
