Can i reinstall FakeSMC.kext from a USB in safe mode?

Disclaimer:: I'm extremely inexperienced in both linux commands and hackintosh.

Hi,

I've deleted FakeSMC and all of its plugins in safe mode (as thats where I'm currently stuck) but cannot locate FakeSMC.kext to replace it. (I thought it was in the backup folder created by Kext Wizard but it isnt).

Can I copy it from a USB? How can I get the version of FakeSMC.kext which is in Multibeast 5.4.3 or is this specific version irrelevant? I've downloaded Multibeast 5.4.3 but theres no 'show package contents'.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

Wouldn't you be able to use Multibeast and selection the checkbox during the install?

yes but that would mean reinstalling mountain lion - i was hoping i might avoid that.

Unibeast is the installer for ML. Multibeast is what you run after you've installed ML.

i can only access safe mode - i cant run multibeast using linux commands.
