Motherboard
GIGABYTE Z390 M
CPU
i7 9700K
Graphics
UHD630
I always used two monitors with 1920x1080 resolution. Now I've upgraded one to 27" with a resolution of 2560x1440. Natively I can't set such resolution. I installed RDM app which now let's me select such resolution. But monitor still thinks it's 2048x1080 and whole screen is blurry.
Graphics "card" is HD4000 embedded in my processor (i5 3xxxK (don't remember for sure)). No GPU. Motherboard Gigabyte GA-Z77-DS3H.
Is there something I can do, or it's just time for an upgrade? :(

Please update your motherboard, CPU (most likely i5 3570K if it is HD4000 graphics) and graphics card (HD4000) information in your Personal Details as stipulated by the forum rules.

According to the specifications of the GA-Z77-DS3H motherboard, its HDMI port can only support a maximum resolution of 1920x1200. So I am afraid you will have to either (1) upgrade your system with a new motherboard / CPU / RAM, or (2) get a modern supported graphics card (say RX 580) to support a higher resolution like 2560x1440.

Note that if you upgrade you may also need to upgrade your power supply to provide adequate power to whatever new hardware you have. The RX 580 requires a 8 pin PCIe connection from the power supply, for example.

Keeping in mind that RX580 card costs more than one third of quite good pc
Where would you be buying a 580 from that costs that much ? A used RX 570 can be bought for under 100 USD. That would work as well. An even lower cost option is to get a GT 710 for 40 USD that can give you that 1440p resolution via the HDMI 2.0 port.

RX580 in my favorite shop costs about 230-250€. Full system with current i5 and 16gb ram is about 700€. I'm a little afraid of buying used cards, don't have enough time in case there would be problems.
700€? You can build a new system under 500€ that you can use igpu to get 2560x1440 via displayport or hdmi.

OK, thanks! After your reply I've checked gigabyte site, and it's what you've said :(

Keeping in mind that RX580 card costs more than one third of quite good pc (without GPU), looks like I'll go for a new machine :)
Well, there are cheaper graphics card options to consider, e.g. RX 570 or GT 710 as others mentioned.

What version of MacOS are you currently running on your system? That will affect your decision as well.

I just got a new Sapphire RX 580 Pulse Lite from a local store, and it costs the equivalent of about USD 170.

HDMI 1.2 do not support the

but old graphics card such as GT 710 do not come with HDMI 2.0 port

I need to be more or less up to date. Now on Catalina, but would like to update to Big Sur in the beginning of next year, when apple will fix most notorious bugs :)

You're completely right! :) I just added silent case and power supply, together with fastest samsung ssd :) This way I'll have my old pc as a Christmas gift for someone :D
