Hi there,

I'm interested in building a PC with macOS for development and Windows for gaming, I have some knowledge in hardware and hackintoshing.
Would love to get some advice from you brilliant people out there about what components should I pick, and how do I exactly start the procedure of installing Windows and macOS.
Also interested in a compatible WiFi+Bluetooth card. Hoping it would fit a budget around 2000$-2800$

Thank you very much :)

I'm glad to help you, I've just got a few questions:

CPU: How many cores and threads do you want (or just i3, i5, i7 or i9)

GPU: What resolution and FPS are you planning for gaming (or what GPU do you want)

RAM: I'm guessing you'll want 16GB, right?

Case: How big do you want your system (super small, small, medium, big or really big)

Storage: How much capacity do you want

Quietness: Do you want your system to be really quiet?

CPU: 10th generation i7 / i9
GPU: I want to play games on high resolution and FPS, I think I'll take the Nitro+ RX 5700 XT 8G GDDR6
RAM: 16GB with option to upgrade to 32 in the future
Case: I suppose big / medium is ok but as long as it has good airflow you know :) (idk I think it's important but I don't really understand much about this)
Storage: 2 SSDs with 500GB one for Windows and one for Mac and another 1 or 2 TB HDD share storage for both systems.
Quietness: Yes as quite as it can be please :)

I have also opened a new thread asking about a suggested build, I'd really appreciate if you could maybe share your opinion about it: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/z490-ud-ac-i7-10700f-nitro-rx-5700-xt-asus-vg249q.300716/

I'll start getting some recommended parts for you soon!

BTW, I have the Sapphire NITRO+ Radeon RX 5700 XT (Special Edition) and it is really quiet and is great at 1440p and can do some 4K.

Yeah I assumed it's a good card also but expensive
Thank you very much! I'll be waiting!

I'm just reviewing your other thread and saying my thoughts, then I can give you another one of what I would think would be better.

So this is what I'm thinking. It comes to about $2100-2500 USD without tax

Intel Core i7 10700K
Gigabyte Z490 Aorus Elite or Gigabyte Z490 Vision G
G.Skill Ripjaws V or Corsair Vengeance LPX (16GB [2x8GB] C16 3600MHz)
Western Digital Black SN750 500GB or Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500GB
Corsair iCUE H115 Pro XT or Corsair Hydro H115i RGB Platinum
Seasonic FOCUS GX-750, EVGA SuperNOVA 750 GT or Corsair RM750x (650W models would work too)
Fractal Design Meshify C, Fractal Design Define 7, Corsair 275R Airflow or be quiet! Silent Base 601 Window
MSI Optix MAG27CQ 27" 2560x1440 WQHD 144Hz

Wow it looks good but prices in my country are in the sky...
Got a few questions regarding this suggestion though
  1. Can I take the G.Skill Ripjaws V with 3200MHz instead of G.Skill Ripjaws V Bdie with 3600MHz? Because I would need to add 227$ for the one with 3600MHz
  2. Is there such big of a difference if I take the NX800 I mentioned in the other thread (without the PSU) instead those mentioned here?
  3. Do you think a ST2000DM008 - Seagate 2TB would fit here? (As a share drive for both operations systems)
  4. and lastly could you recommend a dual boot guide for this build with the Z490-AORUS-ELITE?
