Hi,
So I built this years ago using the Gigabyte H77N and the Core i3. Can I upgrade the processor to a core i5 or i7?
I am trying to get a bit more time out of this build. I am also going to upgrade to an ssd, probably today.

Of course, you could upgrade to an i7-3770K if you'd like to. The 3770 should be even less expensive in used marketplaces. You also can be certain a 3770 wasn't overclocked for years too.

What would be my best i5 options? We don't use this machine a whole lot but I would like for it to be a little bit snappier.

Only one at a reasonable price, has HD4000. That is the i5-3475S. Easy to find on Ebay. The 3570K has HD4000 too but costs more, not really worth it. One 2012 iMac had the i5-3335S with HD4000. Hard to find that CPU used anywhere, other than inside a refurb iMac like this.
