The UD5 is just starting to ship and the UD7 is supposed to ship next month.

What are the differences between both?

Im looking at a GA-Z77-HD3 LGA 1155 Intel Z77. Is this a good board for Mountain Lion OS?
Working on my first Hackintosh. Had a couple of failed tries with Atom ITX boards.

People have had success using the GA-Z77-HD3 board as you can see from the forums : http://www.tonymacx86.com/search.php?googleSearch=GA-Z77-HD3

Read over a number of threads to get a measure of success. :thumbup:

Thanks Adrian B.
I will look over the posts you linked to.
There is a lot of info on this site.
I am seriously thinking of going with that board and an i3 or maybe i5 processor.
How much ram do you suggest? is 8 gig enough?

You can get away with 4 GB for light use, basic office type duties like MS Office, surfing the web and stuff. Its also fine if using as a media centre.

Running 8 GB is better for onboard graphics memory allocation, some simple home video editing, some light gaming, using music production software in a light manner

16 GB for more advanced gaming, video editing and home music production.

The i3-3225 or 3245 are actually very capable for the majority of home use. The i5-3570K is very good for gaming, home video editing and music production. Here are the recommended models in the buyers guide : http://www.tonymacx86.com/375-building-customac-buyer-s-guide-august-2013.html#cpus

I hope that helps,

[h=1]Intel Core i3-3220 3.30GHz[/h]
HDD:
Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB
WD10EZEX

Ram:
[h=1]Kingston DDR3 8GB PC1600[/h]
Graphic Card:
[h=1]Gigabyte GV-N630-2GI 2GB DDR3[/h]

Thanks for the awesome guide.

I would like to ask, I'm planning to get a mITX Hackintosh, no intention to go for overclocking, but just photo editing job and some small game play like Starcraft II.

Am interested with the Custom mini Deluxe build (overclock build?):
- GA-Z77N-WIFI
- Intel Core i5-3570K
Since I'm not interested in overclocking, can I replace the build with the following?
- GA-H77N-WIFI
- Intel Core i5-3330 (Ivy Bridge)
- and any GT650 Graphic card (with BitFenix Prodigy casing)

Is it possible to use the combination above? Thanks in advance.

These are all dual-slot cards. Any suggestions for an older nVidia or ATI single-slot card that's compatible with ML 10.8.5?
