All parts ordered, max 2 week wait for all of them to get here, and then let my first build begin! (*excited! thanks guys!!*)

What do

Anyone is free to use those boards, but considering the minimal work you have to do with Gigabyte's boards... especially now that you don't even need a DSDT file, it's hard to motivate the extra hassle of going with a different board. Each to their own though, but please be aware that we don't have anything against other brands as such, but their hardware is simply not as easy to use for a hack.

What do you mean we don't need a DSDT?

Is every single Gigabyte board with a UEFI BIOS now DSDT free?

I just built a customac couple weeks ago. I just can't wait. :D Anyway, thess 7-series boards are pretty good on price and features. I may end up 1 this year. ^^

I have a z77x-d3h. No DSDT required, works like a charm. Didn't had a single kernel panic or whatsoever.

As far as we're aware, yes. This only applies to the 7-series so far, we're still checking the 6-series, as there appear to be some minor issues there.
