So I followed all the instructions in the installation guide and got El Capitan installed into my SSD. When I restarted the computer, however, I'd get a blank screen when trying to boot from any drive. I wound up resetting my motherboard and the problem went away. But it wound up happening again when I reset the computer another time. I tried the same thing and every drive has the same blank screen when trying to boot. When in verbose mode, it shows a bunch of plus signs. That's it.

Any idea what the problem is? I'm a noob at this and am not sure what to do.

Well it sounds like a graphics card problem but you don't state whether you are using onboard CPU graphics or a discrete GPU card.

El Cap UniBeast will activate Intel CPU graphics for installation - that is coded into the clover.plist.

If you use an add-on card check your BIOS to see which graphics is being initialised first.

A rule of thumb, recommended by most builders is to remove any graphics card until you are installed and up and running.

If you don't have an add-on card it is probably not a graphics problem ...
