I have the same question (HDMI Audio out to a Samsung TV 2.0b compliant) with a EVGA 1050 SC with config as below. Happy to try anything! . Thanks for any ideas!

Unlikely HDMI audio will work on the other connectors. Try a different graphics card or wait on Nvidia.

Thanks! I continued but after reboot I still don't see any audio output. I'd like to have working internal speakers in my Monitor which is connected to EVGA GTX1070 through DP/miniDP port.

Appears there a couple of Pascal cards that make HDMI audio on macOS. Appears the driver does not detect a connected HDMI audio codec. Only Nvidia can solve the problem.

This can be solved with a driver or is new hardware required?

Try each DP; DP furthest from HDMI often works.
