Sound works but no HDMI sound option.
HDMI device is on a DP framebuffer connector, edit required.

Two choices (install one method, verify, revert before installing second method):

1. Try 0x01006601 Framebuffer:
Edit dsdt/GFX0/AAPL,ig-platform-id
Find:
0x03, 0x00, 0x66, 0x01
Replace
0x01, 0x00, 0x66, 0x01
Save and restart.

2. Edit Framebuffer 0x03006601:
AppleIntelFramebufferCapri.kext/Contents/MacOS/AppleIntelFramebufferCapri
Find:
0x03006601
Find:
020500000004000007040000
Replace:
020500000008000006000000
Save, install and restart

This did it! Thanks a lot for the help, my hack is now officially complete, I'll document the process for future reference

PS: For the record I edited the dsdt, but instead of GFX0 I edited IGPU as I patched that. After rebooting with the HDMI connected, resulted in half the screen of blurred video, so I was not able to validate if audio worked or not.

Hey Toleda,

So i upgraded to 10.11 public beta latest update and i have my evga 960 working well as far as displays are concerned but my hdmi audio doesn't work. it doesnt even show up.

I am running clover latest revision and i did the applehda patches using your command tool (which ps- i love when i used to use my 580. great great tool!) but i still have nothing.

Weird thing is, right now i have inject nvidia = false for clover but when i make it true, i get my display port to hdmi audio device show up but i lose multi-monitor.

Am i doing something wrong?

I have a ga-ex58-ud5 (Bios version 13)
i7 920
GTX 960

I tried the auto patch command tool for el capitan and that didn't work (although it did detect my other sound drivers which it wasn't doing before).

I also have a patched DSDT from when i needed help with the GTX 580 i used to use.

I am attaching all the files as requested

I would really appreciate some help :)View attachment Jimmy's Mac Pro.zip

No connector-type injection, dsdt edits or ssdt required. See Post #1.

Maybe im just really lost because im pretty sure i did those edits. I changed the numbers from 0x00010000 to 3

then i copied that over to my efi directory under acpi/patched.

I'm probably (Definitely) missing something.. :// i can see my regular devices, but i just dont see my hdmi audio out like i used to.

That edit is for onboard audio with HD3000/HD4000 HDMI audio, restore the original value.
2nd request, see Post #1.

Just restored to original and i lost all my sound devices :// Sorry for the trouble i honestly don't know what else to do. When i had the gtx580 changing the number to 3 made my hdmi work so i figured i could do the same thing since the only thing that i changed was my gpu.

Don't know why it's not working.View attachment DSDT.aml

Attached is the DSDT that i am now using.

No dsdt/HDMI audio edits, see Post #1.
For onboard audio, edit dsdt/HDEF/layout-id:
find
0x75, 0x03, 0x00, 0x00
replace
0x01, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00

Reply with edited dsdt.

Here's the edited dsdt and a picture of what i have enabled for my sound devices - still no hdmi audio. The sound devices didnt show up after the dsdt edit- i had to run the audio_clover_alc_110.command file to get them and patch my applehda and insert the values in clover's config.View attachment DSDT.aml 2015-07-29_0109.png
