Ati 6950 and 6970 team !!

Okay then. I'm in as I recently purchased two reference AMD Sapphire 6950s last week.
Just got a few more tweaks to do on Windows yet and I shall have a crack.

For what's it worth; I already tried flashing and editing the cards BIOSs (incl drivers) to be V8800 FirePro cards, and what an epic fail that was. :D
 
Any news on 69xx support or even 6xxx support yet? The new MacBook Pros use 6750M so does that mean there will be hackintosh support soon?
 
New MacBook Pro's have an ATI6000Controller.Kext

Now to just get it to the rest of the Macs with a 10.6 Update.

Should go as far as 6970, least basic support.

I'd love to see this card supported!
 
I already tried the ATI6000controller.kext and the associated framecontroller and support .kexts, but the 6950 does not work. The device IDs are missing from the kexts and even after adding them in, I don't get an output from the video card. I tried DVI and mini displayport. Apparently, the 6970 device IDs already exist, but in theory, the 6950 should work just the same after editing in the device IDs... no dice though.
 
Oh, and just a note... GraphicsEnabler=No or else the card goes into a fail-safe mode and spins the fan at 100%. At least with GraphicsEnabler=No, the system attempts to boot, but there is no display.
