well, i do a handstand every day when i wake up, maybe thats why it works for me ;)

but back to topic:
i think the hacked 6970 drivers breaks itunes. i always get a kernel panic after about 7 seconds when i start itunes. i already tried to but the efi string for my ethernet card into my boot.plist but that didnt help. does anyone have tips on that issue?

I believe things may have just got WAY easier! According to netkas, the ATI drivers that were oddly included with the 2012 macbook pro software update have FIXED the cold boot bug! However, before this can be utilized, someone needs to get the graphics frameworks from the retina macbook pro. If anyone has it, please PM me so we can collaborate on getting the frameworks. Thanks a bunch and all credit for the discovery goes to netkas, i just want to spread the news.

PS

nurbs,

for the time being, until the above is resolved in the coming days, use this second link to get the old package netkas distributed that includes the itunes fix. You will notice some mouse lag and cover flow doesnt work with this, so just keep it off of cover flow view.

Quick question for other (Sapphire) ATI Radeon 6950/6970 2 GB users,....

Have you got the ATI to work with one of the DUAL LINK DVI connectors? I'm currently using the HDMI connector on a 24" monitor, but want to upgrade to a 27" model which only has DUAL LINK DVI connectors.

My chameleon boot settings are;

AtiConfig=Gibba
AtiPorts=5
GraphicsEnabler=Yes

yes, i used both DVI ports. worked well but i had huge software problems. so i changed to GT520.

I can not let go of this video card, the HD6950, with mountain, you know help me
thanks
