ASUS Z170 Pro and Legacy mode - Unable to install

Hi,
tsk to all at end i gave up, and installed in UEFI mode on a GPT disk.
in order to boot in El Capitan i need to press F8 during startup choose boot disk from BIOS.

That's what I do - I hit F11 and select the drive I want to boot from, which isn't OSX (it's not the first boot device in my BIOS boot priority.)
