Hi @AGuyWhoIsBored,

I'm very sorry to create a little off topic because my question is not directly related to the USB.

As per this thread it seems that you sucessfully installed El Capitan on an Asus s400CA. I'm not being able to install Yosemite nor El Capitan in this exact machine.

I've been following this guide: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/to...e-10103-on-asus-vivobook-s400c-s400ca-ca178h/ to install Yosemite but i'm stuck.

I would be very happy with either yosemite or el capitan, did you follow any guide to install El Capitan? Could you please point me to some starting point?

Thanks!

Sure. Install OS X on this laptop is "sort of" easy, as most of the patches are out there and you just need to apply a lot of them to get most things working. I haven't gotten the camera (UVC issues) / SD Card Reader to work, though.

IMPORTANT! 10.11.1 update requires Clover v3292 or later.

You can inject the ig-platform-id 0x01660003 to get the HD 4000 Graphics working.

You can also refer to all of my started threads (My Profile > Started Threads) for problems & solutions w/ the S400CA. Good luck!
