Sounds like OSX will enable it anyhow then.. Well, that's very good news! But that leaves 2 questions:

- Does the card work in Windows too if it's not activated in BIOS?

- Did you need to activate the card the first time on Windows to get it to work on MacOS?

Cheers, you're being of great help!
I had to activate it in Windows first.

You need to enable it in BIOS for Windows support.

Apple introduced its first TB3 featured laptop. The new Macbook Pro features an Intel® JHL6540 Thunderbolt™ 3 Controller
Some MBs already use that chipstet ( but with older FW I think).

I have a Skylake Gigabyte Gaming 7 and it uses a Intel® DSL6540 Thunderbolt™ 3 Controller
The same Secifications ( but not the same release name )

I'm wondering if the new sierra build 10.12.2 beta adds the TB3 support. Hopefully.

And if we need clover patch to activate it.

Any clue ?

anybody any news with sierra 12.2?

If I enable it yes. I replaced OsxAptioFix2Drv.efi with OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi based on GoingBald's suggestion and it seemed to help, but I reverted the change when I realized that the Apollo Twin works even with Thunderbolt disabled in BIOS.

Wait...whaaa....???? Your TB3 card works even though it's disabled in the BIOS?
