Hi all, I am new to this site :)

I just bought a laptop S550CM (ASUS) and want to install Mavericks on it.

Can some kind soul teach me how to do it?

I have read the comparability guide and I think my laptop is supoorted.

First you need to fill out your profile with detailed specs.

System: model of laptop
CPU: detailed model of CPU
Graphics: graphics chip you're using + resolution of your internal display

Processor: Intel® Core™ i7 3517U
Chipset: Intel® HM76 Express Chipset
Graphics: Intel HD 4000 with NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 635M with 2GB DDR3 VRAM
Ram: 12GB
HDD: 500GB
Internal Display: 1366X768

Your nvidia will not work, you'll have to disable it if you can...
 
How do i disable it? Is there no way to use it even after installation?

See if there is a BIOS option. And no you can't use it. PC style "switched" graphics is not supported by OS X (Apple uses different technology for it).
 
So lets say if i cant disable it then i would never be able to install mac on it? :(

No, it just makes it more difficult sometimes. In that case you need to remove the nvidia kexts from the USB's /System/Library/Extensions (GeForce*, NVDA*) so they don't load and interfere.
