ASUS Prime Z490-A, Intel Core i9-10850K, 64GB RAM, RX 5700 XT GPU

Let me try that link. I looked at others.

No issues that I've heard of, those 2 CPU are almost identical. The only issue with the Z490 board is that many have a faulty i255-v Ethernet port. Mine worked fine right after the install but "broke" afterwards and I couldn't get it back to work. Now using a USB Wifi adapter for internet and it works fine. Shilohh's build uses a PCIe WIFi/Bluetooth adaptor.

None whatsoever - that’s what I have. See my earlier comment for how to get your onboard GPU working, otherwise follow this guide and you’ll be abs fine

Thanks for your detailed guide @shilohh, great build!

I got ALMOST everything working only issue is the Ethernet port is not recognized.
I'm using both FakePCIID.kext and FakePCIID_Intel_i225-V.kext AND proper entries in the config.plist.
But the Ethernet port isn't detected. Attached is my plist.

Any help appreciated! Thanks.

The OpenCore configuration is there in @shilohh's files, under Internal Boot drive.
Unless you mean his CPU overclock configuration...
Yes, excuse me, I mean to Overclock setting. Excuse me. My overclock is very "primary" with native Asus app for windows ( up to 44% ) and I think with bios setting will be better. Thanks so much in advance and excuse me.

Does the port work in Windows? If not, then Asus may need to recall these motherboards and send people a replacement. The only way Asus will ever know is to file a complaint with them. Also try on a live Linux distro to see if it's working.

I decided to install Windows 10 yesterday because no matter what I did I had all kinds of issues just trying to get to the install screen in Big Sur. I followed the guide to the tee, step by step. I wanted to see if it was something going on with this setup. All works great with Windows 10 (which I hate BTW but I may as well keep it install and then install macOS on a SATA temporary then eventually clone everything. I do eventually want Big Sur on the M.2 because I only use macOS.

Tomorrow I will give OpenCore & macOS a shot again. Been reading through OpenCore's guides for now.

I decided to research on buying a Pulse 5500 XT. I don't get it the MSRP of these cards are only $229 but they are selling them for $1400 on Amazon. Why is this even allowed?
Prices go up when there is great demand and a small supply. Basic economics. Why the great demand ? Crypto mining is the main one. Ethereum is the currency responsible for most sales of current model AMD and Nvidia graphics cards. You can use those in large mining farms to mine ethereum. Most of the newest cards never even make it out of China to be sold in other countries. That's why the supplies are so low in the US, UK and EU countries. The ones that go up for sale in the US, UK and EU get bought up immediately by miners or gamers with very deep pockets. That's why you and I cannot even have an opportunity to buy one.

Wow! After searching and searching, I just can't get this card at an honest price even on Ebay. So I am just going to purchase a Sapphire RX 560 and install that in my old build. I plan on giving that build to my daughter; the very old 27" iMac I was letting her use quit working a few months ago. I will then install the Pulse RX 570 in this new build once I get it going. I am still reading over the Install Guide and studying it. Instead of just copying people's EFI, I want to know what I am moving. Clover was so simple because of the Configurator which we lack with OC. I was told not to use the OC Configurator as it's not reliable. Maybe they will create something soon to make this easier.

Hi all, I'm struggling to get working this Build :( with the iGPU
Graphic cards are quite hard to find at reasonable price, then I decided to use temporally the integrated GPU
I have errors like:
DSMOS has arrived
or
low level disk is not mounted

Anyone can help on this ?
Thanks in advance.
