Comments

This build is my friend rig, I'm just helping him to build a system for him for editing work (he become crazy when export video file on his 2008 macbook).

- Multibeast 5.2.1
- Unibeast 1.5.3
- Mountain Lion 10.8 (App store)

HARDWARE SET

Put all together in the rig, no hardware put aside when installing the Mountain Lion.
- Full 16GB ram (4 Sticks)
- Graphic card insert on the system (GT 640)
- A conventional hard drive which contain Windows 7 copy in it.

BIOS SET

Using customized BIOS from BIOSREPO.

*Credit to the owner of the site for the hard work and the help to the community. ( http://biosrepo.wordpress.com/ )

*BIOS SCREENSHOT*
me do nothing except change the ram speed

Install Mountain Lion

Just plug the system with the SSD
Insert the unibeast drive and boot, no boot flag (-x -v Graphic Enabler=NO) been used.
Install Mountain Lion 10.8 and success to install. Reboot tho the system.

Something me noticed on the first boot

- Display work on 1920x1080 resolution.
- Nvidia 640 work out of box
- Network work out of box
- Wifi does not work.
- Automatically detect system as Mac Pro (2008)
- SLEEP DOES NOT WORKING
- Does not check on iCLoud because not using it.

Multibeast 5.2.1

TROUBLE SHOOTING

After installed 10.8.2 Combo Update the OS become so slow, having a problem when boot, graphic become so lagging. When boot the OS need to use -x flag.

Re-do Multibeast with this setting

*SLEEP MODE WORKING (UPDATED, THANK YOU VERY MUCH TO samisnake ( http://www.tonymacx86.com/members/samisnake/ *
After follow guide that he provide, now the sleep mode working 100%. (see his post in this thread *2nd post)

Re-do Multibeast
41747-after-10-8-2-update-redo-multibeast.jpg

Reboot and it work like charm

DUAL BOOT WINDOWS 7

Shutdown the system and re-plug S-ATA and power cable on the gray port.

Due the Windows 7 copy is not in the SSD, me just using bios to boot the OS.
PRESS F8 when post BIOS for boot option, and choose HDD which contain Windows 7 on it.

set c1e, c3 and c6 to enabled.

sleep should then work.

btw, in multibeast you selected 'patched appleintelcpupowermanagement'.
with the modded bios, you do not need to use that.
as youve already done it, leave it. it wont affect your system, but for future reference, you dont need it. the stock one works fine when using a modded bios
