Nope, but they are BIOS version and CPU generation specific.

Hi,

I tried the above steps and sleep didn't work.

chrajesh-pc:Extra chrajesh$ ls -ltr DSDT.aml
-rw-r--r--@ 1 chrajesh staff 40624 Apr 20 09:06 DSDT.aml
chrajesh-pc:Extra chrajesh$ ls -ltr /System/Library/Extensions/HDA*
ls: /System/Library/Extensions/HDA*: No such file or directory
chrajesh-pc:Extra chrajesh$

Please advise.

You are doing something wrong lets start from scratch.

Flash the BIOS with modded BIOS .rom file. if you have not done it yet to avoid post installation issues. > http://biosrepo.wordpress.com/asrock/z77/

More info more info about modded BIOS .rom file > http://www.tonymacx86.com/dsdt/47397-msi-asrock-foxconn-1155-patched-bios-thread.html

1, Set the BIOS as per below.

Advance > Advanced\North Bridge Configuration
Primary Graphics Adapter > Onboard *
Share Memory > 64MB*
Render Standby > Disabled*

Advanced\South Bridge configuration
Deep Sleep > Enabled in S5*

Advanced Storage Configuration
SATA Mode > AHCI*
Hard disk SMART > Enabled*

ADvanced\Super IO config > Serial Port - Disable

Advanced ACPI conf
Suspend to RAM > Disabled*
ACPI HPET Table > Enabled*
RTC Alarm power on > by OS*
reset of the option here is disabled.

Not so imp settings but runs the system quite. Once you boot in fans are controlled by OSX.
HW Monitor
CPU FAN > Level 2
Chassis fan settings > Level 4

2, Install Mountain Lion and before running multibeast please update this thread.

MiniITX,

I followed your earlier instructions before I start this.

However may be I did some thing wrong.

Here are the steps I did this today.

1. BIOS patch applied
2. BIOS Setting updated
3. Installed ML 10.8.2
4. Installed Ethernet Kext only to connect internet and upload.
5. Extracted DSDT file.

Please review the file and advise me the next steps.

Thank you for your support.

Download the attached DSDT unzip it and keep it on the desktop.

Download latest multibeast for mountain lion from here > http://www.tonymacx86.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=165

Run the Multibeast with below options checked and reboot.

Note: TRIM option should only be checked if you have installed Mountain Lion on an SSD.

MiniITX,

Thank you for the support.

I have installed mutlibeast based upon your instructions.

Now Sleep is working fine including cpu fan off etc....however after wakeup (tried with with power button and keyboard wake up) no display on monitor and no keyboard response (caps on / num lock on).

Please advise.

Thank you.

Go to Extra folder under the main drive and remove the current DSDT.

Download the attached DSDT, copy to the Extra folder and reboot. This time sleep should just work fine.

Hello,
I have a similar problem. My system can get into sleep mode but when I try to wake it, the monitor stays black.

I am using an asrock z77 pro3 mainboard and I have applied samisnake's bios.

I extracted my DSDT and attached it. Would you also adjust the dsdt for my mainboard?

Thank you in advance.

Daniel

Hi MiniITX,
thx a lot for your DSDT file.

I made one by myself according to another guide by simply removing the following line from DSDT:
\_SB.PCI0.LPCB.SIOW (Arg0)
Waking out of sleep worked but it took 1-2 minutes for the system to run again. With your DSDT the computer wakes up almost instantly.

I am using the following Multibeast options shown in the picture below.

Important note: If you want to install OSX and run the system with a Nivida GTX 660 you have disable the onboard GPU first:
North Bridge configuration => igpu multi monitor -> Disable
Then after the installation the GraphicsEnabler has to be set to No in Multibeast. Otherwise the system will not boot.
