the current build that I am using to type this (10.12) my buddy had created off his hacks,

I currently using Unibeast to create my boot installer, and I downloaded 10.12.6 Sierra update off out of the App Store.

You might need to inject EDID.
Try with a bogus FakeID (0x12345678) to remove the possibility of graphics driver issues.

Clover Options -> Graphics Injector -> FakeID.

Well that seemed to have done it, it booted into the install screen,

I'm just going to swap over to my other install and partition it. I don't wanna get rid of my "working"partition until I know this one is solid.

So you probably will need to inject EDID to get correct working graphics.

I assume I have to change it in the config.plist?

I'm sure it gets frustrating dealing with all us noobs

Read the Clover documentation regarding config.plist/Graphics/EDID.
