Sorry -that was confusing. I was referring to the thread. Read the thread to see that the solution is likely one of two choices for you:

  • Replace the 10.15.4 boot.efi with the 10.15.3 boot.efi
  • OR execute this command in Terminal: sudo nvram wake-failure=%00%00%00%00%00
well my friend, you just may have nailed it. I took your second suggestion and executed terminal command:

sudo nvram wake-failure=%00%00%00%00%00

rebooted twice and no post failure. It was random for me so I'll try a bunch more times over the next week, but so far so good. thank you for the suggestion.

It appears that Clover r5114 addresses this issue: see commit here.

I am have a similar problem with a new Mojave installation. After every reboot I get CMOS Checksum Error, erasing BIOS. I tried the terminal command above, but it did not fix the issue. I don't understand the other possible solution, can someone help me try to fix this issue?

I am using Clover 5127 (current), and Mojave 10.14.6 with a RX 560.

Thanks

Setting Apple RTC in Clover config fixed my CMOS Checksum Error.

I tried the quirk first at your recommendation in my other thread, and it did not resolve the issue. I later enabled Apple RTC (in addition to the quirk), which fixed my CMOS error. I have not tried disabling the quirk and leaving RTC.
