It's inside the Chameleon.org.plist which is all I currently use, no ddst. The device string at the end is for my LAN card which was necessary to enable logging into FaceTime and App Store

I'll be installing an Asus 6570 LP tonight...and as an extreme noob I'm a bit confused about where I enter these strings. Can anyone provide a simple explanation for where and what I'll be editing to get this thing cooking? I suppose I enter these in some Kext but I dont know what or where I can find this one required.

Mine is working with full QE/CI in 10.6.8 snow leopard. It was enabled as soon as I updated from 10.6.3 to 10.6.8 with GraphicsEnabler=no. It also works with Lion 10.7.0, but I have only tested the VGA port in both. Mine is the Sapphire brand version.

I installed chimera 1.7.0 today and using AtiConfig=Bulrushes I get "Graphics AMD Radeon HD 6570 1024 MB" but it only works through my hdmi port which is lovely except I normally use a dvi cable for my monitor and the hdmi cable to the big screen for videos

I got that problem too, did you find a way to fix it ?

Correction. It's only half- working. Go back a few pages and read this:

ATI Radeon HD 6xxx = no framebuffer loaded...

Or verify it yourself by going to your About This Mac, and tell us what your Graphics say.

I was also trying to activate the frame buffer on a friend's card. All that time I didn't think to follow boredoftheworld's instructions. Turns out his words were good as gold. And the trick is to use Chimera instead of Chameleon.
