Since my build is based on the GA-x79-UP4 motherboard and doesn't have Thunderbolt I bought the Allegro FW800-E Pcie card and flashed Apollo with the FW firmware on my MacBook where it works well. On the Hackintosh it plays the audio but the audio stutters all the time. Any idea how to fix this? I have searched on the net but haven't found any advice for this particular case.

From what I read this one has it - TI XIO2213

I have probably the same problem.
Hackintosh + Apollo Duo + Allegro FW800 and stutters during recording in Pro Tools.
Did you find any solution?

I found a solution, I hope it's gonna help for others too.
I accidentally put my Allegro FW800 to a different slot in my motherboard and the stutters were gone.

My motherboard is an old Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3 and I forgot the type of the slots.
When I put the card in a long PCI Express x16 slot the card and the Apollo seemed to working, but the stutters was present during recording and the connection was unstable. Then I tried to put the card to one of the short PCI Express x1 slot and the stutters were gone and the Apollo connection seems stable since than.
