After the installation I'm stuck with the Apple logo + spinning wheel!

No, didnt have the balls to do it yet. I am confused, whether I need to run multibeast to install the audio driver

Yes, you need to run Multibeast to install the audio driver. You need both the patched AppleHDA and the DSDT patch.

Here are the steps:
- Apply the patch to your DSDT
- optional: Save a backup of your now patched DSDT from /Extra/dsdt.aml (eg. copy it to the desktop)
- Run Multibeast, select ALC892 "with DSDT"
- optional: Restore your backup of DSDT.aml (from the desktop) to /Extra/dsdt.aml
- reboot and try...

The 'optional' parts are because I don't trust the fact that the ALC892 attempts a patch of DSDT: "Patches /Extra/DSDT.aml to replace layout-id 37C with layout-id 1." In our case, layout-id is already 1, not 37C (0x37C or decimal 892 was commonly used for Lion patched AppleHDA). In theory the patch should do nothing, but my way of backup/restore insures it.

It WOORKED!!!! I got sound!!!! I dont know how to thank you guys enough. You helped me so much... How is such a project with so many competent specialists even realisable? Hey congratulations. I think credit goes to RehabMan for his unique set of skills with DSDT's. Congrats you made it.
