Adding audio codec AppleALC

Status
Not open for further replies.
AppleALC 1.3.4 working fine on S1220A - so that's progress.
The new S1220A is the same as the old S1220A; a new revision, no functional changes
The S1200 is a new codec, not supported with current AppleALC
However, attached to Post #15 is an experimental AppleALC/1200
Post #16, IOReg shows AppleALC/1200 failed to run, see Post #17
Post #18 says you will change things back
what needs to change to get an audio codec with AppleHDA, AppleALC?
It is up to you, still waiting on your reply with new AppleALC/1200 files.

OK, attached new IOReg from fresh install of 17G65 (incl. NVDA web drivers, experimental AppleALC/1200 and Lilu 1.2.8)

This time repaired permissions with vCad's Kext Utility after Kextbeast. Also removed a "#" from Clover '#Inject' -> 1

No output device in Sound, although IOReg search on CodecDevice looks more like same from working audio on Z370.

Also, attached terminal output as for post #11/#12

AppleHDA.kext sees the audio codec
Realtek/Asus/S1200A is a gutted 1220; many experiments may be needed to find a solution
Remove installed AppleALC.kext, install attached AppleALC.kext with KextBeast
Restart, reply with new IOReg

Installed AppleALC (modified Nov 9 - right?)
Look inside AppleALC, current date and recent time
No need to run the terminal command, KextBeast does the same
Try attached
Two experiments:
Layout: 1, attach IOReg
Layout: 2, attach IOReg
