The GT630 is probably switched (Optimus) and won't work on OS X. Your only hope is to use the onbaord graphics. The B960 is a Sandy Bridge chip, but has support for only Intel HD Graphics, not HD3000. So it is also not supported by OS X. You're better off with a laptop with a Core i-series CPU. On top of that you have a Sandy Bridge chip on 7-series board, which complicates OS X install.

It is very unlikely that you can get this laptop to run with full graphics capablity......you need to realize that going for HACKINTOSH on a laptop is a major project which is very complicated and time consuming...i have fiddled with HACKINTOSH for several years and spent countless wasted hours working with laptops.......with Desktop machines i have had great success...

IF you can find clear details from someone about getting full graphics capabilty with this machine then just maybe it is worth trying.

You can buy a MAC PRO 13inch for around 900 this is the non retina version it is a superb machine which can be upgraded easily.....16gb ram for under 100 also you can easily fit your own SSD and you could even create a FUSION drive in this by fixing an SSD drive into the DVD drive space...so you use the exisiting hard drive PLUS the SSD.

PLEASE do not think that i want to discourage you I am an experienced nerd who has fiddled with computer hardware for over 30 years....

Following the links on this site...HP have a few models which can run MAC but not with 100% functionality

I simply encourage you to FIND someone else who has had success with this laptop BEFORE you purchase it
