The tonymacx86 team is testing the Z77 boards as of right now and we cannot be certain as of yet what issues or compatibility we will have with the boards w/the exception of those tonymac recommended that have compatible audio and LAN chipsets. So I cannot recommend purchasing a Z77 as of yet.

Hi babidy,

Here is is really good thread that can point you in the right direction re nVidia & AMD comparisons;

also check out the Customac build guide as it shows which nVidia & AMD graphics cards are known to be compatible.

the GA G1.Sniper M3 motherboard that your interested in is based on the new Z77 chipset and is Ivy Bridge CPU ready. All the manufacturers have ditched the traditional DOS based BIOS in favour of UEFI BIOS and these are harder to Hackintosh so you may have a short wait on your hands before your mobo is compatible !

I'm in the same boat as my next build in May will be based on an Asus P8Z77-V so i'm sure it's only a matter of time before the MacMan & Tonymac work their magic with Z77 and show us the way ;)
