Okay, I started over with a fresh installation and made a nice screenshot collection.
My BIOS is F8 and matches the F8 DSDT.
I loaded optimized default, enabled AHCI, S3(STR), HPET 64-bit and disabled USB3.0.
The installation of 10.6.3 always works perfectly.
Then I put the DSDT.aml and MultiBeast on desktop, launch MultiBeast, but don't run it.
Then I install the 10.6.8 Combo Update, which succeeds:
Then I want to install MultiBeast, but the installer quits:
Then I rerun it with the following options:
By the way: Why do I need these options?
If I use UserDSDT, it should already install FakeSMC, Bootloader, etc.
I'm prompted for my password and I still have my first inital user:
After that it runs a while and finishes successfully with the prompt of the NIC driver installation:
The I install it, which is also successful and prompts for a restart:
I proceed with the restart, eject the iBoot CD and go directly for the "-v" option, to see what's going on at the first restart from harddisk:
As expected, it fails with no error. It just hangs:
I have to press the reset button and choose "-x -v" for the next restart:
This is it, the system is also stuck, but not frozen.
I left it running for 15 minutes to wait for some progress, but nothing happens.
This is a huge piece of crap and I'm running out of ideas at the moment.
Maybe tonymacx86 or MacMan want to share some ideas?
