@videobeagal i'm in the same boat as u man..

try running cinebench i bet you don't get over 6fps..

I'll have you know I got 6.25!!!

hmmm...looks like more work needs to be done.

@ VideoBeagle
What device IDs did you find?
I'm getting crazy with Zotac Geforce 8400GS 512 with 10c3.

crazy what?
Crazy fps? or being driven crazy trying to get it to work?

I got 10c3.

I found that the problem seems to be Cinebench only testing OpenGL 3 , but not lower versions, other testers that do others give better results.

Can't get it to work!
With only GraphicsEnabler=YES -> low resolution and no QE/CI
With GraphicsEnabler=YES and ID in NVDANV50Hal and NVDAResman -> Blue Screen (in safe mode I have right resolution)
With GraphicsEnabler=YES and ID in NVDANV50Hal, NVDAResman and NVEnabler -> Blue Screen (in safe mode I have right resolution)
With GraphicsEnabler=YES, ID in NVDANV50Hal and NVDAResman and EFI String -> Blue Screen (in safe mode I have right resolution)
With GraphicsEnabler=YES, ID in NVDANV50Hal and NVDAResman and PCIRootUID=1 -> Black screen, also in safe mode

Any idea?
What blue screen does it mean, wrong output or NVCAP?

This worked for me too. I'm a noob but found this quite straight forward.
Did it manually though, not using GFX String tool.
changed apple.boot to <string>arch=i386 PCIRootUID=1</string>
Got graphics card device id from 'About This Mac'... id was 06e4.
Duplicated an id string from the list within NVDANV50Hal.kext/ contents info.plist
then just changed the id to match my card.
New id string should look something like this: 0x06e410de&0xffe0ffff - P.S. no need to be bold text
then just repaired permissions with the latest mulitbeast.
Now running 10.6.7 on a G31M-ES2L v2.0 Core2Duo e6500 and an Asus GeForce 8400GS.

A million thanks Husky..
Now just need to sort out sleepenable.
Thanks to everyone on the TonyMac team and to all members. Great work!!

This method worked for me too!

GA-EG41MF-S2H motherboard
Galaxy GeForce 8400GS (device ID 10c3)
Multibeast 3.4.0
Snow Leopard 10.6.7

No need for any kexts or enablers, just made those two changes in com.apple.Boot.plist and NVDANV50Hal.kext and ran the System Utilities in Multibeast. It took me hours of trial and error so I hope this helps someone out.

Worth noting: When two monitors are plugged in, it defaults to DVI. When there's only one, the default is VGA. Can't figure out how to output on DVI only. At first, it booted up to a black screen and I thought I broke it, but it was working after all!

Is
Galaxy GeForce 8400GS (device ID 10c3)
with HDMI ?

It seems that HDMI models are different, this metod doesn't work.
However I will try to put
0x10c310de&0xffe0ffff
in NVDANV50Hal.kext
with 10.6.7

and then will post results...

My card, ..the Asus...has HDMI, DVI, and VGA. And all 3 ports work. Individually, or in some combination of any 2 of them.

I do need to have NVEnabler installed to get it all to work though.

does it give GE/CI AND id your card correctly? I seem to have full functionality, but System Profiler still says "Unknown NVIDIA card"
