4k card

Hi guys how much graphics card do i need to run a 4k monitor currently own a Benq 27inch 4k monitor want to use the 4kness for photography and design. also to give myself some real estate, will game on the machine in pc but doesn't require 4k gaming.

Here's the official list from Nvidia. http://www.geforce.com/hardware/technology/4k/supported-gpus
If you are talking about a desktop CustoMac the DP output of a GTX 960 is a good choice.
If you want an older less expensive choice get a 750 Ti and use the DP output. Apple has better support
for DisplayPort than HDMI if you want a 4K resolution.
