finally did some geek bench testing with my system...

my score is 29492!
see here: http://browser.primatelabs.com/geekbench2/836216

System:
Motherboard: Supermicro X9DAI
CPU: 2x XEON E5 2690, 2.9GHz
RAM: 64GB
GPU: PNY Quadro 4000 PC Version

Trying this out on my dual 2687w system with X9DAi. Got most everything working hardware-wise except the cpu seems stuck at 1200Mhz. I've been playing with bios power management settings and MultiBeast with no success. Pretty new to Hackintoshes - Any tips or tricks?

X9DAi with 1.0 BIOS
MultiBeast 4.6.1

Thanks much!

I have a x9dai + 2x E5 2687w too ... but no boot, no video : screen stay black.

To everyone who owns 2x Xeon E5 2687w, what is your PSU mode l?

Cheers.

Great to see others joining the E5-2600 fray!

I spent some time trying to work up SSDT fixes for the PStates, but never managed to get mine to do anything more than the 1.2/2.6 GHz basics (I've got the 2.6 GHz E5). With these, I've managed 27k GB scores but the chips have more in them as I'm at about 30k under Linux.

Anyone manage to get TurboBoost going?

I can not get any other PCIe card to work apart from the PNY quadro 4000 graphics card.
Even the sonnet gigabit ethernet card which should work out of the box according to the wiki.
The cards do not even show up in the system report...
any ideas?

Sorry to hear that. Actually I just purchased 2 of the sonnet cards last night from buy.com for $39.00 (here):

http://www.buy.com/prod/sonnet-presto-g ... 94752.html

Funny, it's gone up to $42.24. It's amazing that online companies like buy.com bump up their pricing as soon as an item sells. They think that theirs some kind of demand for them now when their isn't. But again, that's typical of online companies like this. At least their is a 45 day return policy (15 days better than OWC and newegg.com).

I was initially going to purchase it from Other World Computing (here):

http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Sonnet%2 ... GE1000LAE/

but even as a reseller I was not able to get it at a lower price than the $49.00 that it was selling for, as their was no discount for it on their site.

Anyway, I purchased those 2 Sonnet cards (as a future backup) because my Syba (SD-PEX24009) Card (here):

http://www.directron.com/sdpex24009.html

stopped working when I upgraded my OS, so I turned to my Rosewill card (here):

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6833166015

and it worked just fine. I'm glad that I listened to Going Bald and got that card as it's no longer available... I got those 2 Sonnet cards as I was told (by someone who has the very EVGA SR-2 setup that I have) and they supposed to work with pretty much any system setup. Well, if I run into the same issue that you did, at least I'll be able to return them if they don't work... :)

any idea why they wouldn't work? missing kext?
I put them into my 2008 MacPro to check if they might be broken. But they where fine and recognized by the mac... I also tried different PCI slots in the mackintosh, with no luck...

got it working!

Those sonnet PCIe cards i have are PCIe x1. And I had to enable "Generation 1 support" on the PCIe slot in the BIOS.
The menu for configurating the PCIe ports is a major brain**** though... so complicated...

What motherboard do you have and how did you enable "Generation 1 support"?
